Each
project we undertake, large or small, residential or non-residential, proceeds similarly.
We begin with an INITIAL MEETING between Owner and Architect, the purpose of
which is to establish the project intent, formulate a Scope of Work, and to discuss an Overview of the Architectural Services.
The Initial Meeting is followed
up with the submittal of a PROPOSAL for providing Architectural Services for the specific
project. The Proposal will generally outline the Architectural Services to be incorporated in the project's PHASES as well as a proposed fee for the Architectural Services.
Upon approval of the Proposal, an AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND ARCHITECT is submitted for review and approval.
The Agreement Between Owner and Architect, incorporates the approved Proposal, and
amongst other items goes into greater detail regarding Architect's Basic Services, Owner's responsibilites, compensation, reimbursables, ownership and copyrights, termination, limits of liability, and any
miscellaneous provisions.
Upon approval of the Agreement Between Owner and Architect, the project proceeds according
to the outlined Phases, incorporating meetings for project document review with the Owner, Bid Distribution, Contractor
Selection, Permit Review Submittal, Permit Approval, and the Construction Phase Services.
The following outlines
each of the Project Overview items noted.
